Fushimi Inari suffers from its popularity with snap-happy tourists.  It is almost impossible to get a half-decent picture without some idiot jumping in front of your cameras doing their bunny-ear impersonation.  Another place to avoid at weekends in cherry blossom season, although on the upside it is difficult to get lost between the station and the shrine...just follow the masses, and the tourist tat shops.

Famous for the thousands of Tori gates, which if you are so inclined and have several thousand pounds to spare, you can add to.
