Inevitably a hideous inundation of tourist fodder to feed the tacky souvenir stalls, over-priced cafes and bars and the new plague of selfie-posing idiots each of whom seems to feel some kind of moral obligation to obtain a carefully constructed image of their girlfriends supporting the inclined tower.

Remarkably, once inside the monuments (with the most notable exception of the tower itself) it is possible to enjoy them in relative peace
