By the time we reached Ortigueira, I
had become somewhat inured to the incessant November rain, and was
pleasantly surprised that at least the wind had died down. I could
imagine the town in summer with a somewhat more lively centre and
weather more conducive to a Spanish lifestyle. Unlike many seaside
towns, it seemed to have retained an authentic if somewhat run down old
town, centred around the seafront plaza. Still, too cold to enjoy
al fresco dining, but definitely worth a return visit if and when it
ever stops raining. |
