We know it is only 30 km or so to Tidjikja and it is rather an anti-climax to have spent our last night under the stars in the desert and to realise that we have almost reached "civilisation". Of course in Mauritania that just means registering with the gendarmerie... So that was Tidjikja, just a quick wander round the town (an even less inspiring Saharan shadow of its former self than the others) and then we hit the road (boring asphalt) towards the Route de l'espoir and Kiffa... On the way some spectacular scenery, which you can see under Moudjeria etc.
