Camino de Santiago: Stage 27
(of 31); Triacastela to Sarría
This was undoubtedly the most beautiful part of the whole Camino.
Leaving Triacastela in the first morning light, you pass through a number
of lovely villages, farms and woodland, suddenly confronted by a hilltop
view of the monastery of Samos in the sunlit valley below. Even
though the subsequent walk from Samos to Sarría was significantly longer
than the map showed, it did not diminish from the overall experience and
those who choose to start the Camino in Sarría (the closest to Santiago to
qualify for the Compostela) are really missing a trick. |
