Just beyond Kurjey Lhakgang you come to a suspension bridge across the teeming river; follow the track back along the opposite side of the river and after another very pleasant thirty minute stroll you arrive at the famous Tamshing Monastery.  Famous, that is, for the chain mail vest purportedly made by Pema Lingpa and weighing in at 25kg.  If you put it on and walk three times round the dingy inner walkway, it is claimed that, quite miraculously....absolutely nothing happens.

As you arrive, possibly a little warm from the walk in the sun, you will be pleased to note the fresh water spring with some of the coldest and cleanest water you are ever likely to come across...emerging from a pair of substantial wooden phallus.
