Oviedo

Given the fables of Civil War atrocities and the miners' revolt in 1934, I had half expected Oviedo to be a somewhat depressing industrial city. Quite to the contrary it turned out be a rather beautiful place with oodles of interesting architecture, plus the usual excellent restaurants. Definitely on my list for a revisit to take in more of the cultural assets.
