Birthplace of arguably the greatest scientist who ever lived, in my opinion at least, being the last one who wrote anything I can understand...when translated from the Latin of course!

Sir Isaac Newton's home at Woolsthorpe is still there and you can go and sit in the apple orchard awaiting similar inspiration if the mood takes you, or visit other stately homes which seem to increasingly populate just about every period drama produced in the UK, plus some of the Hollywood stuff.
