Ginza | Tsukiji | Hama Rikyu
Hama Rikyu is yet another of those almost paradisiacal havens amidst the noise and bustle of Central Tokyo, overshadowed though not overwhelmed, by the towers of Shiodome.  Formerly site of the Tokugawa Shogun family villa, it is now a public garden on the edge of the Sumida River, where it is possible to take a ferry either upstream to Asakusa, or downstream to Daiba.

It boasts a 300 year old pine tree (not particularly impressive) and a peony garden which is quite mind-bogglingly impressive, even if you do not share an excessive passion for the plants.

Inevitably also a perfect location for wedding photos!
