Hajer Saeed, or so it
was spelt on the sign, is nothing remarkable in the context of the myriad
nearby, picturesque hill towns, but a destination I would otherwise have
travelled hundreds of miles to see. The problem with the whole Central
Mountain area, if not of Yemen, is that it is just stuffed full of historic
buildings so much so that even the humblest village is worth a visit and you
really don't have enough time. On reflection, I suspect that it would
be worth spending more time in one location, walking between villages rather
than trying to cram the "important" places all into a couple of weeks...next
