Osaka Castle

It may be only a concrete reconstruction, but still an imposing landmark in Osaka's interminable urban sprawl. Surrounded by a substantial park, delineated by moats, it also provides a perfect location for the citizens of Osaka to enjoy flower viewing...euphemism for...? Decided to splash out on the New Otani Hotel which has magnificent views of the castle both from the rooms and the spectacular Tepanyaki restaurant, one of the best places I have ever eaten...anywhere.
