Castlerigg would tempt the patience of a
photographic saint. As with anywhere in the Lake District, the weather
and thus the lighting conditions change with amazing rapidity; that is part
of their charm. However, it also makes for somewhat challenging
photographic conditions if all you want is a nice sunny picture with some
fluffy white clouds. I am a reasonably patient man and contented
myself to wait until the moment was just right. Unfortunately, again
as is common throughout the Lakes, several dozen others had exactly the same
idea, but with the apparent sole intention of either taking selfies right in
front of the rocks, or else sitting having a lovely cup of tea whilst
admiring the view they were so selfishly denying others.
Fume!!
