Arrowtown

A classic gold rush town, there are still the remnants of the Chinese workers' hovels. Visiting in winter really gave the impression of just how utterly miserable it must have been living and working there. Even the richer homes were pretty basic and must have been desolate places to spend your life, or even just one winter.
