The only indication, although a fairly
reliable one, that the Gulf of Cintra is rather beautiful, is the
green line along the edge of the road on the Michelin map of
Morocco. (Michelin maps and guides, by the way, are my sole
exception to the rule that guides are generally useless).
However, in this case, the subtle green line is an astonishing
understatement; the coast at this point is quite breathtaking and
almost certainly justifies the drive from Europe as a destination in
its own right. Unfortunately I had not paid for enough days
Moroccan insurance and so was compelled to keep moving rather than
sit down and enjoy the view...although not until I had at least
taken a few photos! |
