Eyam Village

Eyam ranks quite highly on my "favourite villages to spend the rest of my life" list! Apart from the historical significance of many of the houses which still exist from before the plague, it has an overall character which is not overwhelmed by the inevitable crappy modernish housing here and there. It is also surrounded by some wonderful countryside and even the hikers, bikers and oiks do not destroy the ambience entirely.
